Coastline and village on Paros, the starting point of a Paros and Antiparos itinerary

Paros itinerary: 3 to 5 days in Paros and Antiparos

Five days is the right length for a first visit to Paros: a day each for the north beaches, the villages, the sea, Antiparos and the towns. This plan keeps drives short, puts the boat on the calmest day of the week and leaves every evening free for dinner. Short on time? The three-day version keeps the essentials.

  • 5days for a first visit
  • 7'Pounta to Antiparos
  • 3.5 kmByzantine Road walk

Three days: the essentials

With three days, keep it simple and stay in Naoussa. Day one: arrive, swim at Piperi and walk the old port at sunset. Day two: a half-day boat from Naoussa harbour to Kolymbithres and the north bay in the morning, then Lefkes and the Byzantine Road in the late afternoon. Day three: Antiparos by car ferry from Pounta, the cave and a long lunch by the water, then back via Parikia for the Ekatontapiliani church and sunset on the seafront.

  • Base in Naoussa
  • Half-day boat from €1,200
  • Antiparos on the last day

Five days: the whole island

Five days lets you see Paros without rushing. The plan below takes one area a day, north, centre and west, sea, Antiparos, east, so no day has more than about 40 minutes in the car. Keep the boat day flexible: in July and August the meltemi wind can pick up, and we move the boat to the calmest day of your stay. On windy days, Kolymbithres is one of the more sheltered bays on the island.

  • One area per day
  • Boat on the calmest day
  • Evenings free for dinner

A Seabob adds €450 for the day.

Our office in Naoussa

We work out of Naoussa, the harbour town on the north coast of Paros. Parikia port is about 15 minutes away by car, the airport around 25, and Pounta, for the Antiparos ferry, is an easy drive. Pickups, boardings and flights are all coordinated from here.

Questions

Paros itinerary: questions guests ask

How many days should you spend in Paros?

Five days is ideal for a first visit. It gives a day each to the north beaches, the villages, the sea, Antiparos and the east coast or Parikia. Four days work if you combine Antiparos with the boat day, and a week lets you add Delos or Mykonos.

Is 3 days in Paros enough?

Yes, for the essentials. Stay in Naoussa, take a half-day boat to Kolymbithres, walk Lefkes and the Byzantine Road, and spend the last day on Antiparos with a stop in Parikia on the way back. You will miss the east coast and Paros Park, but see the island's best.

Should I do Antiparos as a day trip or stay overnight?

A day trip covers the cave, a beach and the village, since the car ferry from Pounta takes about 7 minutes. Stay a night or two if you want Antiparos in the evening, when the day visitors have gone. We have 12 villas on the Antiparos waterfront.

How do I get from Athens to Paros?

Fly from Athens to Paros Airport (PAS) in about 40 to 45 minutes, or take a ferry from Piraeus or Rafina in about 2h 40m to 5 hours, depending on the boat. Our transfers meet you at the airport or port from €80. See Athens to Paros for details.

When is the best time to follow this itinerary?

June and September are the best months: the sea is warm, the wind is usually lighter and the villages are less busy. July and August work too, but the meltemi wind can pick up, so keep the boat day flexible. See best time to visit Paros.

Can I combine Paros and Mykonos in one trip?

Yes. Spend four or five days in Paros, then fly to Mykonos by helicopter from €1,500 or go by sea, with private sea transfers on request. Our sister team at Mykonos Travel Experts takes over on arrival, so the plan continues without a gap.

Can I add Mykonos or Delos to a Paros itinerary?

Yes, both fit easily. Delos and Rhenia can be added to a private yacht day from Naoussa for +€1,000 on the boat price, with site tickets not included. For Mykonos, a helicopter from Paros starts at €1,500 and gets you there for a day or a few nights.
